Roselle plant (Hibiscus sabdariffa).
The roselle plant comes in two varieties distinguished by flower colour: the one with white flowers is known as 'Vai Anthûr', while the one with red flowers is called 'Kawl Anthûr'.
Both the flowers and leaves are edible and have a slightly sour taste.
The leaves are typically boiled with daal (lentils), while the flowers, once dried, are used to make a flavourful tea by boiling.
