A lay-off season which is very crucial for both the village men and women. After cutting down trees, bamboos, and bushes in the jungle for jhumming purposes, it is time for the community to relax, allowing the felled trees to get dried. During this leisure period, generally the months of February and March, women laboriously toiled on their loin-loom trying to weave as much cloth as possible.
